CoreFive’s Coaching Reports and Character Development Program impacts player’s day to day lives and development both on and off the ice. Players notice changes in themselves as their character develops. However, it is not just the players that notice, it is those around them as well. A great example of this is Greg Yetman, father of 6th round Chicago Blackhawks draft pick and Erie Otters star Chad Yetman. Mr. Yetman stated that;
“The Coaching Reports and Character Development Program utilized by CoreFive and the Otter’s Coaching Staff have had a huge impact on Chad both on an off the ice. The Reports were amazingly accurate In their description of Chad. The increase in Chad’s Self Awareness broadened his thinking. He recognized that personal growth is the foundation for success on the ice which has since resulted in his selection by the Blackhawks in the 2020 Draft.”
“Chad’s growth as a person began to increase by leaps and bounds to the point that where I regularly received comments from others about his maturity, character and leadership skills. As a parent, it is a tremendous source of pride when people who we don’t know well would go out of their way to make such positive comments about Chad.”
As Mr. Yetman stated, personal growth is the foundation for success on the ice. The development of character is accomplished the same way you develop on-ice skills, through structured learning and practice. Everything we measure can be improved through structured learning and practice.
Character can be intentionally developed and the sooner that work begins, the faster the player matures.
